I’d like to give a huge shout-out to the incredible men and women of our Bedford Fire Department. I woke up the morning after Ida hit our region to see our volunteer fire crew already up, already down in Mamaroneck, already on boats rescuing people that were trapped by flood water. I passed their fire truck returning home as I was just driving my daughter to Fox Lane Middle School. Their life jackets laid out to dry outside the firehouse all day. Thank you.

Please remember that these incredible people willingly volunteer to step into danger to help others every single day. Please take a moment to thank them. Heroes.
