A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church in Bedford on Saturday, July 24, at 11 a.m. for Virginia D. Curran.

A former Bedford resident of 48 years, Ms. Curran died Aug. 28, 2020, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She was 94.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Moran) Deady of Boston, Massachusetts, where she was born. She graduated from Northeastern University and then enjoyed a brief career with New England Telephone in Boston. While raising her family, she lived in Massachusetts, Michigan and Rhode Island before settling in Bedford.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert F. Curran, her son, Robert F. Curran Jr., and her sister, Patricia (Deady) McDermott. She is survived by a sister, Joan G. Deady of Abington, Massachusetts; a daughter, Christine Williams (Keith) of Potomac, Maryland; a son, Gregory Curran (Margot) of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and seven grandchildren.  

Burial will be private and take place at a future date.

St. Patrick’s Church is located at 7 Pound Ridge Road, Bedford.
