Robert (Bob) E. Cushman Jr. of Bedford, died Dec. 30, 2022. He was 87.
He was the son of Robert and Catherine (Ranney) Cushman of Pelham and Hartland, Vermont. He graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1954 and Yale University in 1958. At Yale, he excelled as an athlete, founding the Yale ski team and earning honorable mention All-American in lacrosse.
He worked for Citibank for 30 years, traveling extensively around the world, and at Morgan Stanley for the past 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy, three children by his former marriage to Lee Sumner, Robert, Bradford and Jessica, seven grandchildren, and other family members.
Funeral services will be held in Bedford in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the School of Leadership, Afghanistan, 75 State St., Suite 100, Boston, MA 02109. Mr. Cushman supported the school, now located in Kigali, Rwanda, and previously served on its board.
